It is early evening, and we have already set up our campsite off the road in a rural area here in Karnataka. I've got a little while before dinner, so it's a perfect time for me to write a quick description of today's events. We left Goa at around 8:30 a.m. this morning and spent the entire day in transit across Karnataka heading toward Halebid, sight of one of the most famous Hoysala temples in India. Break From the Law

Mar 8, 2008 - Gokarna

Gokarna, a welcome relief from three months of temple hopping and home to sun worshipers cum new age hippies. All I wanted to do was get stuck into some long overdue beach time and reading, and thankfully this is what I did. My guesthouse was a bit of a disappointment, and with hindsight I should have moved onto a beach hut further along the beach, but I was glad to get stuck into some long overdue reading, some lying on the beach and the quiet life.
