Route: Cuttack - Baleshwar - Baripada - Jamshedpur - Ranchi Distance covered: 365 Kms. + 130 Kms. = 495 Kms. Place of Stay on 08.06.2009: Nirnimesh's Mausi's House The day started early and by 9.30 a.m. we were on raod on the way to Ranchi. This was a straight drive which took about 3 hours and by 12.00 p.m. we were before the High Court. As everywhere else, the photography was strictly prohibited and so we went to the Registrar (Vigilance) for seeking permission. Mar 30, 2008 - Ranchi

Just made this entry for the map to show that we landed here on route to Patna from Delhi. So happy that there was no fog because in January our nephew Chetan had to travel from Ranchi to Patna by bus because the visibility was so poor the place could not land in Patna. He travelled through the night and arrived absolutely exhausted.

Feb 4, 2007 - Not the best week

Hello, I hope that you are all well and have had a much better week than we have! I was in Agra when I last emailed and from there we set off to Bodhgaya, a small town but the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in the world. It is there that Buddha was enlightened under a Bondhi tree 26 centuries ago. The travel agent in Agra told us that we would not be able to get a direct train on the day we wanted to travel but not to worry as we could change at Varanasi. Oct 1, 2004 - Blinded by Nature

During the first 90 minutes, sweat leapt from every pore and marinated everything from my sizzling scalp to my trusty sandals. The next 90 minutes saw nature do its best to put me, and my increasing stench, through the 'spin cycle' - this included thick fog, heavy rain and gale force winds.
