After checking out of our room at the Naggar Castle this morning, we left our bags at the reception and proceeded to check out Naggar’s sights. We first visited the Tripuri Sundri Hindu temple a short distance down the road from Naggar Castle, built in the Himachal architectural style. From here we proceeded up the road to the Roerich Gallery, a gallery in the former home of Russian painter and all around Renaissance man Nicholas Roerich which houses some of his works and an exhibit on his fascinating life. Jun 13, 2009 - Second Day of Parvati Valley Trek - From Malana to Naggar via the Chandrakani Pass

This morning we left the Dragon Guesthouse in with our guide Prem Malana at around 7:15 a.m. It took us nearly 2 hours to hike out of the Parvati Valley and into the adjacent valley. The trail out of the Parvati Valley proved to be steep, and my quads and calves burned as we slogged our way up out of the valley. En route we passed no other tourists, but only local shepherds tending their flock.
