Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram Ho lasciato il Kutch (a proposito, significa tartaruga, il nome viene dalla forma della penisola, e si pronuncia come caccia ma fermandosi alla seconda c). Scendendo verso sud sono entrato nel Saurhastra, la penisola meridionale del Gujarat. Anche se nella mappa la riga e' dritta, in realta' ho dovuto fare naturalmente il giro intorno al Golfo di Kutch, quindi per spezzare il viaggio mi sono fermato qui a Jamnagar. La citta' non offre moltissimo, anche se ci sono un paio di templi Jainisti interessanti, come...

Mar 29, 2006 - Rajkot - Dineshbai Ashodia - improved power generator, hydraulic pump

Daneshbhai was frustrated with frequent power outages and the ever increasing costs of energy in his hometown of Rajkot. To fight this, he developed a generator that can be hooked up to a windmill and will generate power even at low wind speeds. His invention has been scientifically evaluated by one of the universities here and now a patent application is in process. The name on his invention (see picture) is a goddess who provides wealth.
