Mar 5, 2015 - The final bush clinic

After a night of dogs barking and drums and singing the morning came around 6:00 with the sounds of people going to the bathroom. Finally got up and dressed, grabbed my backpack and headed down for breakfast. Scrambled eggs with ham so I asked for a couple eggs scrambled and it was no problem. Mar 4, 2015 - Another bush clinic

Up today at about 6:30 with the new folks moving about getting ready for their devotional behind the room. Slept pretty well and the malaria medication has kicked in and I had several very vivid dreams. Can’t remember much except Samurai swords that looked like machetes. After that we gathered together all the meds we’d need for the day, three translators, and piled into the van. Down the National Highway – an extremely bumpy road – to a village about three miles away. There was a large crowd waiting...

An interesting night. The AC in the room was blowing right on me so I had to work my way out of the mosquito net and move the vents to point up. That worked for about five minutes then the AC shut off. Then about five minutes later it came back on blowing on me. I got up again and moved the vents down… then the same thing happened. I finally got up and mucked around with the controls for a couple minutes and finally got it set to low, which seemed to work. The rest of the night went well. Breakfast at the hotel was rather normal with eggs...
