Today was to be a long day, and we were planning to leave at 10am, to go to Foshan for a house warming at the boys' cousin's new house. She is their father's brother's daughter, and her husband and her have a small furniture factory in Foshan. I had woken up early enough to get most of what I need for my stay at Peter's house into a suitcase. We were heading out of town, and I was quite surprised that we would travel such a distance for such a short event, but simply accepted that this is China!! But we pulled up at a car park, and I was thinking we were stopping for a toilet break! But, no, I was wrong. We had arrived at Li Shui Queen's Gardens, on the far outskirts of Foshan city. Nov 24, 2007 - To FoShan for a haircut, and to visit Carmen

I had intended to get up earlier, and get down to the bus station by 10.30, but, surprise, surprise, I did not make it that early. I got there around 11.50, and bought a ticket to FoShan, for a departure of 12.30. So, off I went to visit Carmen and to get a haircut and colour. It took around one and a half hours to get to FoShan, and on the trip I did some knitting, making a start on the scarf that I am knitting for Xiao Hong, for her trip to Shandong Province, for their wedding party.
