Aug 4, 2013 - Driving the Southeast Coast

We’ve spent the last two days exploring the southeast coast of PEI and of course, its just as beautiful as the north coast. Saturday we drove as far east as Orwell making many stops along the way. We stopped at Wood Islands to scope out the ferry to Nova Scotia and at several other lighthouses and harbors. It was a beautiful day so we had our picnic lunch at the Wood Islands Lighthouse then at Point Prim, Marvin couldn’t resist the Malpeque oysters at the Chowder House there so he ate another lunch! Aug 2, 2013 - Southeast Coast, PEI

Wednesday we went for another ride along the coast to the east, it is just as breathtaking. After we had driven several hours (including lots of side trips and stops for pictures) we found we were near Charlottetown, the capitol of PEI and the only really large town on the island. Since it was lunch time and we hadn’t packed a picnic we decided to head there. We had planned to spend all of Thursday there, but what the heck!
