Left St Ignace at 9:10AM. Crossed the border back into Canada and took Rt17 east. Nothing exciting today, just driving. Arrived at Morning Mist RV Park in Stonecliffe,ON at 5PM (400.5 miles). Met a nice couple there, Dave & Jeanette. Spent the evening sitting around a campfire and talking.Jump to full entry

we drove into sudbury, saw the big nickle & mind then drove on to camp at stonecliffe's morning mist campground... - went thru several small towns, lots of woods, lakes and rivers, great for fishermen/hunters etc... - sudbury is NOT the little town we visited in late 60s... - like everywhere else, too many people/cars/roads/buildings, life goes on!... - our route today was again rt17 the transcanadian hwy... - tomorrow on towards ottawa, ont... ron/barbara OUR DAY 20 PHOTOS TO MARYLANDJump to full entry

Next stop on the trek across Ontario was the Morning Mist Campground in Stonecliffe, just west of Petawawa on the Ottawa (Outaouais) River. We chose it because they said they had wifi internet. But it turned out to be wonderful all around. The owner/operators were super friendly and helpful. The layout provided plenty of space per site among tall pines just down the hill from the T-Can. The clean sandy beach on a large bay of the Ottawa was a two minute walk. There they provide beach toys and life vests for the kids. With a dock that's more...Jump to full entry
