Today was a day trip to Hamilton. We stopped in Guelph briefly to see the university campus & a Tim's stop. Then we headed to McMaster University to see Ryan in his office on campus. He is finishing his masters degree in hydrology and hopes to have his thesis presented by September. We walked to go out for dinner and it was a bit of a hike in30 degree temperatures. Aug 1, 2017 - Palmerston and area
Palmerston and the surrounding towns have populations of different sizes. The area has a variety of farming and manufacturing with a huge Mennonite community. So Monday was girls day and off we went to Arthur, Ferguson and Elora. The shops offered lots of the usual tourist items but many other options as well. Lunch was at a restaurant called the Red Door. Heather tried to get me on the Zipline across the Elora Gorge but I resisted! I am saving that experience for some exotic area somewhere in the world! Honestly! Jul 30, 2017 - Cousins!!!
Life is good! I know it is a trademark but it reflects what we are so lucky to be experiencing. The land of our large country separates us but when we get to see one another we pick up where we left off. We had a chance to see two of the three Winn sisters twelve years ago. Irene is now in Palmerston and Bonnie and Ken took the time to drive from London to see us. As for Heather, Mel had not seen her since they were teenagers so there are lots of stories to share.
