Yesterday we left Pictou and arrived in Halifax about two hours later. Halifax is the apex of our trip and from now on we will always be heading in the general direction of home. The weather when we left Pictou was sunny but very windy and as we approached Halifax the weather changed and it became drizzly and damp. It was drizzly off and on all afternoon. We had dinner around 1800 and after dinner we drove to a cousin of Ross' in the town of Bedford to return a spoon that had been left in the motorhome at the reunion in Pictou. We visited...

Jun 18, 2008 - Margaree Harbour, NS

Wednesday June 18…10:30pm Went for a bike ride this morning from Pleasant Bay to the village of Red River. Only about 10 km’s return, but quite a few hills. Then we drove on south, headed for Cheticamp. We drove up Mackenzie Mountain, and down French Mountain. Georgeous views from both. They had signs warning that the 20 km’s in between the mountains were rough roads, but they had the paving crews out resurfacing, and most of it was near completion so it was in good shape for us. Sep 21, 2007 - Baddeck and Margaree

September 21, 2007 Yesterday, we'd decided to buy some small amount of groceries for ourselves instead of buying breakfasts and suppers. So we stopped at a small grocery-cum-restaurant up the road from the resort. We bought bread and milk and a couple of other things. So this morning we had tea and toast for breakfast which suited all of us. It was nice to fix up the tea and sit down at these nice big windows, looking out over the Atlantic and enjoying the sunrise.
