The last discoveries to enter into our Newfoundland discovery tours are Rose Blanche and its quaint little fishing village, the historic lighthouse and rocky coves,(graveyard of wrecks from marine disasters that happened off the treacherous waters offshore) and several of the small communities near Port aux Basques to include the Grand Codroy Valley, Margaree,Isle aux Morts and Burnt Islands all rich in Newfoundland culture and history. Jul 10, 2009 - Rose Blanche, Newfoundland - Ferry to Newfoundland

(Ron Writing) We got up at 4:15 AM this morning, had a quick breakfast, and drove to North Sydney, NS to catch the 8 AM ferry to Newfoundland. When we checked in at the harbor we were told our ferry was delayed until 11:30 so we parked Da Honu in the queue for boarding and waited. We played cards, read, walked around North Sydney, and visited with other folks waiting in the lines.
