Sept. 8/06 Today we caught up on internet etc. then we went on a boat tour of the Western Brook Pond. This body of water was a fjord several thousand years ago as earth's plates shifted and water levels changed it became a pond or lake Carved by glaciers this is the largest lake in the Gros Morne Park. The waterfalls cascade from 2000 feet above and turn into mist before reaching the water below. You drive to a parking lot then hike a 3km trail to the tour boat.
