Jun 23, 2005 - Baccilieu Trail

Grey rainy day! Funny named places. Cupids, Heart's Desire, Heart's Delight, Dildo etc. Also a stopping point on this loop was Hawthorne Cottage Natl Historic Site - home of Capt. Bob Bartlett. He was the ship captain with Peary in the 'race to the north pole' --first discoverer of the North Pole. The house was a mix of Victorian luxury and 1950's colorschemes. © Nancy Nederlof 2005
