We traveled in our cars to Hartland, NB for lunch and a talk on the history of Hartland and the longest covered bridge in the world. After lunch, we visited the longest bridge and walked halfway across. It is the custom to drive halfway, stop and kiss your partner. We walked halfway and kissed and also drove halfway, stopped and kissed. The bridge is a one-way drive and cars take turns driving across. Jul 9, 2016 - Covered Bridge, Potatoes, Water Falls and Golf

We rolled in to our campsite, after a Wonderful stop at the Falls in Grand Falls. The falls spill 90% of the water in spring time that Niagara does. There are lots of walking trails and 400 Stairs down into the gorge, of course what goes down.. Why, well, we all should know Secretariat. The triple Crown Racing thoroughbred. Ron Turcotts home town is here. BIG tributes hear around town. After an injury from a fall from a horse, he was confined to a wheel chair. A must see, the Hartland Bridge which spans the Saint John River from Hartland to Somerville is the World's longest covered bridge. It's said that if you hold your breath for the entire length and make a wish, without exhaling until exiting the other side, it shall come true.

May 13, 2015 - Hartland, New Brunswick - May 2015

I am excited to be blogging again. I will eventually get caught up with Alaska. But, in the meantime, I do not want to get behind going forward. We will be at the mercy of public wifi and campgrounds to post the blogs while traveling in Canada this summer. This year I am writing the blog offline, then posting it when I can. Wish I had done that last summer. A little update: Since we returned to the U.S last October, we have been to the Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Columbia and Mexico. Visited Family and friends from California to Florida....
