Well we got back to Fernie - decided not to fly back to Cranbrook from Seattle as was too expensive, so took the more adventurous route of a train through the States to Whitefish, Montana then hitched the 200 miles back over the border to Fernie. Wasn't too bad actually, the only difficulty getting someone to actually take you to the border! And I don't think the immigration guys get too many people walking across his remote border crossing but we got there! Anyway, we go back and purchased our lovely 1981 Chevy van - Lou-Ann. She's great...

On the Road Again!

Dec 25, 2005 - Christmas in Fernie

We arrived in Fernie - a cool little town with a population of about 8,000 - to lots of snow and it has snowed so much since we've been here! Been doing a bit of skiing and having a great time - Jase has got into snowboarding and after the initial bruises and sore muscles for a week, now seems to be quite enjoying it. Went out to the Mogul Smoker - a party to appease the snow guy - most bizzare outdoor party in -28'c! A little crazy when they have to insultate the beer lines coming from the keg so they don't freeze! But all fun and games,...
