Aug 10, 2013 - The Real End!

Harvey The Harley Hauler has been sold so this officially ends my RV lifestyle. I've chronicled the 150,000 problems I had with my NEW trailer on my website. (OK, I exaggerate a little!) Nonetheless, you can see what I went through by going to my website and clicking on the RV Lifestyle button (top left) if you're curious. I'll put the page here and hopefully you can just click through to it, but I'm not sure if it will work. It's at: http://www.funny-email-for-everyone.com/rv-lifestyle.html Thanks to all of you who followed my journey....

Jul 2, 2013 - Across the Border

On the road again. Decided to take a ferry instead of driving south to Tacoma and then back through Seattle on I-5. The ferry was north of us and we boarded at Kingston, WA and traveled to Edmonds, WA. As we exited the ferry I noticed that one of the tires looked low, again. I had noticed it 3-4 days ago and filled it with air. Checked the pressure and it was low. Will have to get it looked at in Vancouver. Found a gas station and filled the tire. On to I-5 and headed north but not before stopping at another outlet mall in Everett, WA. A...

Oct 15, 2012 - The Return

Well I completed the circle yesterday (11,128 km plus a few more on the Harley). It ended with a short trip up the I-5 to Canada in gale-force winds and driving rain. I thought the trailer might act like a bit of a sail on the highway, but it stuck to the road pretty well. So, this will be my last post for a while. After Christmas or early in the new year, I'll head south again and start posting once more for those of you who want to know where I am. Until then, season's greetings!

Mar 26, 2011 - Another lost tooth at the BC Ferries

Well, despite our grand efforts and our 5:30pm arrival, we missed the 7 ferry and will be on the 9. Does beg the question though, why not add a 6 or 8 on the last Saturday of spring break?! Alas, they didn't, so here we sit. We've all become very comfortable in our little van, so what's a few more hours?:) What I haven't yet mentioned is our love for a certain audiobook! Yep, totally sucked in...to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Absolutely LOVE it!!! So we are all quite fine with being given a little more time with it:) Oh and I...

Mar 18, 2011 - And we're off!

Well were smart to get a reservation for the 5 o'clock ferry cause traffic was crazy and the terminal was PACKED! Alas, we will still be a little behind schedule as the Spirit of British Columbia is only running with three of it's four engines tonight, putting us in to Tsawassen at around 7pm. We'll be stopping for dinner, location TBA, and to the pharmacy (I'll explain later) before we head to Peace Arch. Word is it's been a busy day there so it's a food thing we all have books and movies!:) we'll check in again soon xo

May 16, 2009 - Tsawwassen, BC - ParkCanada RV Park

The trip over from Fort Langley was only 30 miles but it took about an hour due to all of the traffic. The traffic is really bad here, no matter what time of day. There's just not enough road for all of the cars and they have stop lights that are about 100 yards apart and not timed. The access road to the campground made me think I was back in Jackson, MS and their Yahoo Clay with all of the dips which the mothership didn't like at all. The campground we are in is the worst to date but will suffice since we don't plan to spend much time in...
