Jul 14, 2014 - Day 27 A quiet stop

Saturday, Jul 12, was an interesting day. We left Ft St John with our overnight stop up in the air. Our planned park, when called to confirm, said they had given our spot away. Turned out OK, because the place was not real nice. Not many places to choose from along this 200 mile stretch. Continued on to a park in Ft. Nelson, Triple G hideaway. Was OK except for being very crowded and not having good power. We adjusted overnights, left Ft Nelson Sunday AM and are here at the Toad River Lodge, a lovely place along the Alaskan Highway. Jun 23, 2006 - Liard River Hot Springs

June 22, 35836 5:45 am, next stop Fort Nelson June 22, we are up early today; we want to get out of here before the 22-member caravan starts out. We leave the RV Park at 5:45, head north and get fuel at a small place called Farmington. Gas is $4.65/gal and diesel is $4.21/gal. These prices are actually less than we had planned on. The sun is out, wispy white clouds, but the temperature is cool. The road is good, 2 lanes, fairly smooth and gently winds north. As we come into Taylor there is a 10% downgrade.
