Jun 25, 2006 - North on the Alaskan Highway

It looks like a nice day for a drive. The sun is shining and it's 67 degrees out. We got all hooked up and headed north at about 8:10am. As it turned out, it was a great day for wildlife. In about 300 miles we saw a black bear, a wolf, 5 moose and several deer! We stopped in Fort Nelson for fuel, but the price was so outrageous that we only got $50.00 worth. Little did we know that was only the beginning of it! We passed through the Stone Mountains, which if famous for it's stone sheep. Well, we didn't see any! The scenery was beautiful...
