Jul 31, 2011 - Faro to Toad River

We left Faro thinking that the next stop would be Watson Lake on the Yukon-BC border. 60 km later we made a quick run (10 km worth) into Ross River just to see it; hardly anything there except a general store, a few houses and a maintenance yard so we did a u-turn and returned to the 'highway'. About 20 km further we got a surprise with a sign that read "next services 354 km". Based on the distances we had traveled to date we were pretty sure that ole Gus wouldn't make it. Jun 5, 2011 - Summit Lake Campground, Stone Mountain Provincial Park, BC

The morning of June 4 we left Dawson Creek to head further north. We decided to stay the night at Pine Mountain RV Park and then the night of June 5 at Summit Lake in Stone Mountain Provincial Park. Pine Mountain RV Park was billed in Milepost Magazine (this magazine is the travelers bible for all routes going to and through Alaska, British Columbia and the Yukon. May 28, 2010 - Summit Lake (Stone Mountain)

May 28, 2010 (Friday) Left Fort St. John at 9:15am The Time Zone Changed to “Pacific” time which means we are 3 hours behind our friends on the eastern time zone. We stopped in Ft. Nelson, Tom visited the Heritage Museum as they were about to close for the day so he just got a short time to visit while I did the laundry. We left Ft.
