Before leaving Don and Loree's, we took a walk in the old growth forest behind their home and had a look at some beautiful huge Douglas Fir. A pretty amazing thing to have in your back yard. Underway, we stopped in Duncan for a cup of coffee, admiring the totem poles scattered around the town, and then headed north up Highway 1 to Nanaimo.
