Birds do it, Bees do it - even Sockeye Salmon do it Saturday We started the day driving into Kamloops. What we found there couldn’t have been more surprising. The Sonoran Desert reaches all the way to British Columbia, and Kamloops is in a transition belt. Coming out of the mountains it’s like being transported to Southern California. The green hills turn yellow, and grass and sagebrush take the place of trees. A main difference is the river. Southern California has no rivers, but the chalky blue Thompson River meanders through this desert...
