Took our time today not stopping anywhere on the way in, we chose to hit all the small places on the way out in a few days. Reason is because we are not sure exactly where we will settle down this afternoon. Puntzi Lake is our destination but we just learned that the place we stayed at there before got destroyed in forest fires last summer. There are 2 resorts still left there,we stayed at Barneys RV campsite on Puntzi. Jun 13, 2008 - Up "The Hill"

It's time to go up “THE HILL”. As we headed up the Bella Coola river valley we were very watchful as the valley is known to have the highest concentration of bears-grizzly and black-in BC. Didn't see any. The trip inland along the river valley is outstanding. You have granite walls on both sides that rise to nearly 10 000'. At this time of the year there are waterfalls every where. Falling down the rock faces. Then you hit “The Hill”. Need more info. Goggle “Hwy 20 BC The Hill”. This climb starts at 1000' and goes to 4000' at the summit...
