This morning i got caught up on the journal and pictures and Kathy got in a little WWS. in the afternoon we went out on a whale watching tour and saw at least 7 humpbacks, a stellar sea and a bald eagle. I did not get any breaching whales, that is what i was hoping for.  The whales seem to be very focused on eating and packing on the blubber for their migration to Mexico and Hawaii.  we camped tonight at Prudhomme Lake PP Campground, a nice little campground just of the highway and on a attractive lake.  Camped near us  is our  campground...

Sep 1, 2009 - Prince Rupert

First thing this morning I head out for morning vespers and discovered a black bear next to the passenger side of the truck. Fortunately I was on the driver’s side. I heard him in the berry patch eating raspberries. Got a couple of pictures but at 6:30 the light is a little dim especially with the fog we we experiencing. The fog was heavy in Prince Rupert but lifted as we headed out in to the Queen Charlotte Sound looking for humpback whales. Aug 31, 2009 - Prince Rupert

We started the day with a hike to the Kleanza Canyon overlook. After our return we headed to Terrace and the WIFI at the Safeway store to check on the UPS tracking number and the progress of the Geo Part. The August 31 prediction has changed to September 2nd. We informed the Garage and decided to head to Prince Rupert and go on a whale watching tour tomorrow. We spent the night at the Prudhomme Lake Provincial Park campground.
