Another beautiful ride from Kamloops to OK Falls. Stopped for a picnic lunch just south of Summerland, BC, by the lake. The water in the lakes here are an emerald green. We headed in to Kelowna where the traffic became horrendous, and the winds picked up, blowing dirt off the mountains and into our faces/eyes. Turkey contacted some friends who now live in the Okanagan Falls, Martha (Moss) and her husband Gord, formerly from Thompson Manitoba. Aug 26, 2009 - we need a "tom tom!"

. After a very windy night and losing the outside garbage can to a gust of wind we are happy to report that it has been returned to it's rightful spot beside the trailer door. This morning the weather was a bit cloudy but the sun came out before long and we were well along the way to yet another sunny day. After spending the morning doing our usual activities, we headed out on the highway towards Okanangan Falls once again. Oct 10, 2008 - Osoyoos - Okanagan Falls

Thursday Oct 9th we decided to tour in and around the town of Osoyoos. Our first stop was to visit The Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad which is the biggest little European Railroad in Canada. There is around 3500 square feet of incredible detail and model layouts. The model features more than 1200 houses, over 9000 hand painted little people and more than a dozen computer controlled trains running through a very detailed landscape with European style towns and houses.
