53 degrees and bright blue skies when I got up this morning. I departed Shady Rest RV Park in Houston, British Columbia at 08:55AM on the Yellowhead Highway 16 east towards Prince George. I saw one black bear scamper across the road up in front of me and then disappear into the brush about 25 miles west of Prince George. It was too fast and too far away for a picture. I stopped for fuel in Prince George at 12:40PM– 209.471 liters at $1.289 Canadian per liter. I left at 12:55PM on Highway 97 south. That will be more than enough diesel to get...

We went to the W.A.C. Bennett Dam and it was more awesome than we had imagined. We were very glad we stayed to visit. The 100 million ton dam is one of the largest in the world. It holds Williston Lake, which is the largest fresh water lake in British Columbia. The dam provides 30% of British Columbia's hydroelectricity. "The dam is 2 kilometers long, 183 meters high, 800 meters wide at the base and 9 meters wide at the top. There are 5 main zones in the dam, each containing varying amounts of silt, sand and gravel.
