Monday June 13th, we spent the day touring around Dawson Creek, the visitor center, and took in the movie at the Alaska Highway House at the world famous Mile 0 post. The movie is about the construction of the Alaskan Highway, which was completed in 1942 by the US Army. We also visited the Kiskatinaw River bridge, which is a curved wooden bridge, also constructed by the US Army around the same time as the Alcan highway was built.
