May & June 2016 Good Morning Hope you are all having a great summer. So far the weather has been good and we can still wear our shorts and flip flops. We have had a busy May and can’t believe it is already into June. Most of May was spent getting ready for the garage sale—finally done and all the leftovers went to the Soroptomist. @@@@@@@ KAPOORS ON THE ROAD Our daughter Adia has been a member of the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Victoria for the past 15 years and has trained as a teacher at the centre. We attend classes regularly and now she was encouraging us to go to the annual retreat held each June on Saltspring Island. We never imagined that we could do that much yoga in so short a time, but Adia urged us to experience the teaching of the Centre’s founder, Shirley Davenport-French. Jul 19, 2013 - Salt Springs Island

We had a ferry ride from Crofton to Salt Spring Island which is located in the Southern Gulf Islands. It is 70 square miles. We had an outstanding lunch with Libby Jutras & Ray at the Harbour Hotel. libby taught one of my watercolor classes this winter in Casa Grande, AZ. Salt Spring Island is known for its Saturday Market which has items that must have been made or grown on the island.

My last free day in Victoria I decided to take Shambles for a final ride before I gave him to the guy who gave me a free back wheel a few months earlier. Since I had been in Victoria most people I had blundered through polite chat with had asked me if I had been to Saltspring Island and each time I had seen the hurt look on their face when I said I hadn`t.
