We continued our trek south making a stop in Jade City home of a famous jade store and headquarters for their mine. The Discovery Channel is producing a reality show based on the mine and the family and crew that work there. Should air this August. I bought a very thin slice of jade that is translucent and Kathy bought a Fluoride Crystal that is supposed to help with mental clarity. We are both hopeful. Jul 7, 2013 - Burns Lake, BC to Bell II, BC

I’m sitting here on a lovely summer night in a really nice campground (Bell II) inside our tent hiding from the flies and mosquitos. We have used repellant with DEET which helps with the skeeters but not the flies. Oh well, at least it isn’t raining, although then there wouldn’t be skeeters. Hmmm. We left Burns Lake at 6:10am this morning. Yes, I said 6:10! Headed for Stuart BC & Hyder, AK. Saw our first moose – a momma and baby along side the road just out of Burns Lake.
