Sep 3, 2009 - Beaumont Lake Provisional Park

We headed out first thing in the morning towards Prince George. We saw a black bear crossing the road just before we got to Kitawanga. We stopped at the Moriecetown Canyon and watched the First Nation’s People fish for salmon. We continued on to Smithers were Kathy checked out the shopping in the afternoon. We stopped for the evening, after seeing our second black bear, at Beaumont Lake Provisional Park. We traveled 250 miles and thee Geo seems to be doing well. We will keep our fingers crossed.

May 17, 2007 - Beaumont Provincial Park

We arose with the sun at about 5 AM (it was getting light already) so had plenty of time to get ready to head out. We had agreed upon an 8 AM departure and we were all on the road 10 minutes early. The drive was pretty typical, passing farms and ranches, going through little areas that are pretty run down as they often are along the main roads, with a beautiful place set back from the highway every once in a while. We did not see but one deer however the others said they saw some buffalo too. This day did not take us across any mountains....
