Sunday 18 July 2010 As we had been busy the day before it was decided that we would stay around the farm today. Dave took some photos of the Winters farm and of some of the wildlife. After lunch the men went fishing so that Dave could give Dean some more tuition on casting with a fly rod. They enjoyed the afternoon and Lawrence had caught a small fish (bull trout) on a spinning rod. There was lightning and thunder again this evening;quite spectacular views from their sitting room. The day was lovely; sunny and warm.

Jul 15, 2010 - Sundre

Thursday 15 July 2010 Went for a short walk along the river bank at the Camp Ground; the river very blue glacial melt water. Left the camp about 9.00am heading towards Sundre and the Winters. Leaving Golden we headed straight up the hill - quite a steep climb with road works. We were traversing over the Rockies. The road was OK with passing lanes where required when going up the hills. We arrived in Banff about 11.30pm and found a parking area that catered for RVs which was very good as parking the Motorhome can be an issue even though it...

Aug 14, 2009 - Last Stop, Sundre

Our last stop on our Farewell Tour is our good friends who live in the country. They have two boys the same ages and the four of them are having fun running around, playing with kittens, shooting arrows and generally being away from parents. Lydia and I are catching up on our rest and are feeling rather calm about the true start of our Grand Adventure tomorrow.
