Sep 27, 2007 - Bow Valley, Alberta

The power of the glaciers could be seen at Moraine Lake. While driving out the Bow Valley Rd. beneath the Castle Ridge we stopped at a memorial to the Ukrainian interment camp from WW I. The trail to the Johnson Falls was on catwalks attached to the cliff walls high above the river. Our trail buddy was eating pine cone seeds. At the lower falls we crawled thought a cave for an up close view. There were many pot holes that had been carved by the river. Next stop will be Banff.
