Dec 9, 2020 - Wow! December Already
Not a very exciting year to be sure. A Trip Journal with no trips to speak of. All trips were cancelled this year and it looks doubtful for any cruises in 2021! We did a quick two night trip to Whistler in June. A lot of it was closed but we did some exploring both on foot and in the car. Such a beautiful area! Maureen made and sold 34 dozen butter tarts as a Christmas in July event. Facebook Buy and Sell works well for that. She also made 46 ten inch round Christmas Cakes in November. Then another butter and mincemeat tart sale in early...

Dec 5, 2020 - Prepping for the 70th
Winter has arrived eh. Hope this finds all well and safe. Just a few seasonal pixs of the interior in a festive mood. I see my tremor adds a bit of special effects to them. Now that racing season is over had to find a place for some flags so voila the Bedford spa a la nascar theme was created. Enjoying the new abode immensely, in floor heat is especially pleasant. It seems to hold the heat really well, no more cold feet in the middle of the nite when you have to get up to answer nature lol. Not much more for tonite folks, again stay safe...

Hi all. Sorry for not posting more but it's been a hectic time. Tv went, my hard drive expired so lost everything, a few delays on the house but we persevered and we are in. Storage move went well, furniture move was excellent and we now have our 2 good friends from NS here with us and they have helped us immensely sort thru all the stuff and find a place for it so we can now say we are in our new home. Grass is planted and up, 40 trees/bushes are in and growing so have been busy. Will post a few more pixs in days ahead. hope you all had a...

Aug 29, 2020 - Barrie KOA
What a year 2020 is turning out to be. In March we hurried home to quarantine away from the world to try and avoid contacting COVID-19. For the first two weeks it was just Glenna and I tucked away in our home. We started using Zoom to communicate with friends, and used Instacart to order our groceries and have them delivered to our front door. I started back to work after the quarantine was over. I basically interacted with my two brothers, and a few neighbours. When we couldn’t keep a safe social distance we would wear a mask. Masks have...

Jun 12, 2020 - 12 Weeks Back in Canada
@@@@@@@ KAPOORS ON THE ROAD One day while we were taking one of our daily walks, we came down Fort Street and were surprised to see a fabulous portrait of George Floyd, the man who had been killed by a police officer who pressed his knee into Mr. Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes. His death sparked protests almost immediately in the US, and people all around the world, including many towns and cities in Canada, joined in marches seeking changes in how police carry out their duties, especially when dealing with people of colour. My cousin...

May 18, 2020 - Bye-bye Vancouver
Standing at the Vancouver International Airport in the dark and pouring rain, I could only hope that Madrid would be a sunnier place! It was 5:30 am and I was all set to go. I had narrowed down my belongings to one manageable back-pack with a detachable daypack. All of my necessary documents were safely tucked in my money belt beneath my waist band. I was ready, set and raring to go! The flight to Toronto was uneventful -- the usual breakfast-and-a-movie kind of flight. I read and re-read the instructions in my guidebook for...

Hello all. As you can see the steel for the roof is going on, doors and windows are in place and the rear sun room is roofed. We hoped to have roof finished this week but unfortunately the wind and COLD weather has slowed the pace today. Roofing acts like a huge sail in the wind so that's why the slowdown. Watching final virtual race this weekend from N Wilksboro NC then its back to real racing next weekend from Darlington SC. They are planning 7 races in 11 days so should be interesting. As well no practicing or qualifying, just unload off...
