Darrell, Jayden and Cody picked Ian up this morning at 8am to take him to Portland to go fishing on their boat. After I had breakfast I took the dogs up to Jayden's kennels to leave them there whilst I went to Port Fairy for a look around. I have been to Port Fairy quite a few times but it is one of those towns that is always good to visit. Jan 5, 2017 - Macarthur

After a bit of a sleep-in this morning, and after Ian had done some running repairs to the van (we had discovered that we acquired a leak in the roof via the TV antenna inlet after the storm at Swan Reach), we were back at Kathryn’s at about 11am. Whilst I had a load of washing on the go, the boys went off to inspect Lloyds (Darrell’s brother) incredibly large shed which is Ian’s dream, and Kathryn and I had a wander around her garden, which is really very pretty and my dream! Jan 4, 2017 - Macarthur

We put the dogs into kennels at house where Jayden (nephew) is living, just up the road from Kathryn’s at about 9am, then Kathryn drove Ian and I to Halls Gap in the Grampians. We then climbed to the Pinnacles, which is where most of the touristy photos are taken in the Grampians. Well, the climb was pretty strenuous (or else I need to get fitter!), and as the day was quite warm, we were quite hot by the time we got to the top.
