Apr 4, 2016 - Kerang Victoria

Monday April 4 Kerang Went for a walk in the morning and took some photos. Of course because I bought a light weight winter outfit at a heavily reduced sale price the weather today was forecast to be 32 degrees! Damn it, I wore it to the funeral anyway. Had lunch at the Sports Club with cousin Craig and wife Sonia – roast pork and vegetables for $13! Barry was given a great send off by family and friends – huge crowd (though in a country town it is difficult to tell how many oldies turn up for the sandwiches and scones after the service!)...

Mar 26, 2016 - Mooching in Kerang

Saturday March 26 Kerang Quiet family day – visited Lorraine’s husband Barry in hospital; very sad as he is extremely ill. Set the bbq on fire while cooking the butterflied lamb for dinner – “Jesus Denis!” was the best reaction from Lorraine. More wine and laughs.

Kerang- We moved into the Kerang Caravan Park and are backed right up to the Loddon River. Headed to the Disposal Store to check these fishing licences. Apparently in Vic if you have a Seniors Card you don’t have to have a licence. Yay another win for us oldies!! We bought a bait trap and the guy there was really helpful, he said if we put in soap and a few fresh gum leaves we will get shrimp He also said the season is open for Murray Cod and you can catch them on tasty cheese,Carp don’t bother you so much then. Size limit is 60cm, I think...

Feb 9, 2013 - Toolangi to Kerang

This morning we were woken up to a number of vehicles turning up at 8.30 am (how rude) there was a junior cricket game starting at 9 am, so we packed up and took of as there was not a lot of room for the cars to park. We travelled though a number of towns and probably the biggest was Euchua, where if we had of wanted to stay I doubt that we could of booked in anywhere, the town was chock full of people as it looked like there was a ski boat carnival on. Ski boats everywhere (and loads of Police) We kept going and have ended up just outside...
