Day 12 Left Cape Paterson at 8.30 am and wandered past Morwell and this area is very smoky. Morwell is where the bush-fire set alight the coal mine which burnt for many weeks before they decided to put it out. As we came into the Latrobe valley we could smell the coal fired power stations. No wonder the residents where feeling ill after the fire, took photos of the old machinery. Into Traralgon, to Sale and down to Bairnsdale. Dec 21, 2005 - Lakes Entrance

Next day we had an early start to accompany Pam on a work related trip for a couple of days to a place called Lakes Entrance on the Eastern side of Victoria, close to the New South Wales border. We made various stops on our trip out to Lakes Entrance, which we took advantage of by having a nosey around and filling our faces in cafes while Pam went off and did her thing in the Safeway's of the towns.
