Today we took a day we took a drive down to Geeveston stopping at Hounville on the way. Geeveston was a timber milling town and since the mills closed down the people who live there are now mostly self employed artisans. They have a Makers Market where you can see their work. The little towns on the way were really pretty and real estate is quite cheap, you could buy a two story, historic Presbytery with 10 rooms and 2 bathrooms, garages etc over looking the Huon River for $450,000. Dec 21, 2008 - Huon Trail (hanggliding!) and Carols By the Bay in Hobart.

JOSH: Dear Journal. I went hanggliding on a line. We didn't know because Mum and Dad wouldn't let us know what it was. It was so depressing. When I saw the picture I was amazed (until Mum said it was on a line). It wasn't scary. I didn't scream. It was 400 metres long. it was probably 100 metres high. Also that night I went to a Christmas carol. It was long because there was 11 Christmas carols but they started half way through the whole carols by candlelight.
