Hello all, Have changed the trip default map from Australia to Tasmania to show a bit more detail of our journeys on Tasmania. There will be a few entries to show movement around Tassie though there will not always be photos, or a lot of text. For instance, this entry shows the travel from Hobart to Bruny Island. The previous entry had photos from both locations. So, there are no new photos to add, and not new text except for this explanation. Next is on to Deloraine on our way to Cradle Mountain. Jan 15, 2006 - Bruny Island

Bruny Island is our last stop before we go back to Hobart. It's only 40 km in the south of Hobart. We just came here coz we had the feeling that is what going to be nice... There is nearly nobody leaving on that island and once again most roads are unsealed (we only realized after we got on the island that we are not allowed to bring our rental car there... Hopefully nothing will happen! That's our last 2 days in Tasmania and we just want to relax a bit, we set our tent in a free camp ground... People around us are a bit wierd... There are...

Dec 29, 2005 - Tas: Visiting Port Arthur, then on to Bruny Island

The best thing about staying in vile caravan parks is that you are compelled to get up early and get out of there. We amaze ourselves by being at the gates of Port Arthur by 9 am, figuring that if the crowds in the caravan park are anything to go by, we want to get in and out before the Port Arthur site gets inundated. Port Arthur is probably the biggest tourist attraction in Tasmania and it's worth a visit.
