(Ben) Our second day of crossing the Nullarbor had the added excitement of taking us into South Australia. At Eucla, about ten kilometres before the border, the road draws right near the coast and as you head through the Eucla Pass up onto the range, you actually look down towards the Southern Ocean from an elevation. After crossing the border into SA, the road sticks pretty close to the coastline and there are plenty of places to pull over and check out the ocean and the cliffs that drop down towards it. Oct 8, 2012 - Made it to Sth Aust.

8th October Thank god the wind has abated overnight. We did have a much better travelling day especially fuel consumption. Time zone changes and daylight saving has left us totally confused. Plenty of trucks, wide loads and caravans travelling today.Unfortunately for the wildlife, bodies scattered along the roadside. We did see one Emu wandering the road. The Nullarbor is dead flat and boring until we turned off to the Head of the Bight. We enjoyed a break here for an hour. There is an information centre with a boardwalk & viewing...
