Biggest excitement in Townsville.....picking Erica (Dylan's younger sister) up from the airport to travel with us for the next week!! Erica arrived when Max & Anna were already asleep for the night so Max was very surprised to find Erica on the bunk below him when he woke up! Biggest smiles ever! Also the other exciting thing was a snake at the toilet blocks! A children's python. We got to check it right out as the park owner held it for us. Sep 29, 2010 - Rollingstone Beach - Townsville

Known as The Great Green Way, the area between Cairns and Townsville certainly lives up to its name. The road continues south through the Girringun National Park and then on to Paluma Range National Park. These National Parks consist of forest covered mountains and deep gorges, which give way to flat land, mostly cane fields and pineapple plantations. Mar 1, 2009 - ..on from South Mission Beach

Sunday March 1, St David's Day The campsite at South Mission Beach was also another very good one. As we were preparing to leave, we met a fellow camping next to us. He had rented a smaller Maui campervan than ours and we were interested to check out the smaller van's space and features. His name was Steve Forsyth and he is a member of the Ottawa Police Force, on holiday for three weeks doing the same distance as us, from Cairns to Sydney.
