Storm last night but no real rain. Under cloudy skies we set off early, heading north to the Qld border. Through more small farming communities of Ashford and Bonshaw in NSW before crossing the border at Texas, a small town of 900 people right on the border. Had a quick look around before continuing to Inglewood where we had morning tea at the bakery. Mum remembers this town with Nonno when she was a child - there were family friends here then. Jul 2, 2015 - Day 5 - Monto

Today's trip to Monto was a bit longer. We did think we might stop at a free camp next to a pub at Mulgildie but it was a bit boggy so we pushed on to Monto where we stayed in a rest area next to the old railway yards at the end of the main street. It was OK but for $5 each per night for nothing but a toilet we felt it a bit steep. There was a lovely sunset and we could see 2 planets close together.
