Day 60 Dull boring and uninteresting down to Burke and Wills Roadhouse and then across to Gregory Downs this is just a Pub and a general store and one petrol bowser that was so old that the guy had to write the amount down on paper. The road showed as minor road but was nearly all bitumen, we had to wait for road works and one of the truckies said over the two way take a look at the number plate on the bloody thingy so I replied that the bloody thingy is a Mitsubishi Challenger and you could see the other workers crack up because they...

RUSSANDY 2016

Aug 25, 2010 - Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park

With a four hour trip ahead of us we left Mt Isa and took the road north west towards Boodjamulla National Park. After about an hour of travelling from Mt Isa we turned on to the road to the National Park. Another 60 km and then the road changed to gravel – another 140 km. There were quite a few rough patches and cattle on the road but all in all it wasn't too bad. There were also four creek crossings – all fast flowing and beautiful. Jun 22, 2006 - Lawn Hill NP

The next morning, we turn up at the Adels Grove campsite at Lawn Hill after a short drive from Gregory downs. Initally when we arrived, we were a little disappointed as the campground had been given hi wraps. The heavy floods from the late wet season had left the river banks a bit of a mess with large amounts of debri strewn around. However we set up camp by the river as there are no other campers nearby. Within 10 minutes of finishing setup however, about 8 4wheel drives all with blokey blokes turn up right along side. Just our luck - it...
