Wed, 23rd April....what a wild night....must have had 2 inches of rain dumped on us, the Kimberley Kamper canvas was really put to the test and came thru' with flying colours. We were snug and dry all night and it was probably almost ready to fold up about an hour after sunrise. And the wildest thunderstorm we've ever experienced. Went for over an hour and seemed to be right above us, the thunder was shaking the camper. Some incredible cracks almost simultaneously with the lighning flash. An awsome display. I decided to not use "awsome"...

Jeff's Comments After touring the Glass House Mountains village and finding our way to the road that led to the lookout, we realised where we should have gone and finally found our chosen camp site. This site was not very pretentious but cheap and cheerful and suiting our purpose. Our intention was to walk some of the walking routes of the area; however, after perusing the literature obtained at the camp site, it seemed the routes were invariably straight up wooded steep hills, with little to view until reaching the top.
