Aug 12, 2015 - Day 46 - 50 Etty Bay / Cassowary Coast

When we booked this site we knew it would be difficult to get into but we didn't bargain for cars being parked opposite it. Because of them we couldn't get the car straightened to push the van back straight so had to make a few back and forth to get in. The site gas a gazebo over it with a big pole in the middle and each side. Consequently, we had about 6" clearance each side of the van. Also because of the pitched roof over the top we cannot get the TV antenna up properly and so thought we would get no TV. Most people are having trouble...

Jan 14, 2014 - Babinda to Etty Bay

Tuesday 14th January We left Babinda free camp at 8.30am and stopped in the town to have a look around and also spoke to the ladies at the Information center, they were extremely helpful and advised us of a number of places to see in the area and on the way south. We stopped first at Josephine Falls which is just outside of Babinda, well we were really glad we stopped as these falls were probably the most spectacular that we have seen on our travels, as you may be able to see from the photos. Sylvia's comments. Thursday morning we woke to discover Alan and his friend had already been out for an early morning bike ride, why had they not knocked on our door? I would have ensured Jeff was up and ready for this early morning exercise. Alan and Margaret then went out on some errands, they had wanted to leave the house open for us so had left the garage door up so we could enter the house that way if we needed to get in.
