11/6/017. Goolgowie to Tullamore A great little overnight stop - clean and quiet. Congratulations local council. It was 17 degrees at 10 o'clock - yesterday it was 8 degrees at the same time. This mornings drive was good once we were off the main highway and on the secondary roads. Just imagine a narrow valley with trees, cultivated pasture, road, grazing cattle, trees with hills either side. As ian said - peaceful. On the main highway, we were overtaken by a lot of Utes with swags in the back, no doubt on their way home from the B&S Ball...

Mar 21, 2017 - Lake Cargelligo to Tullamore

We had quite a bit of rain overnight and we had to wait out a couple of showers to get packed up and onto the road. However, we realised that we probably had not had anywhere near the rain that had obviously fallen elsewhere. Our drive today was another cut across country – driving through Condobolin then onto Tullamore. In places, there was water lapping at the side of the road as well as laying in very soaked paddocks.
