Nov 17, 2005 - Harvesting at West Wyalong

We've come to West Wyalong at the start of the harvest, so it's probably not the best time for the Lueflts to have visitors, but for city kids like us it's intriguing. At the moment they're harvesting the barley crop, which of course is one of our favourite grains, being a key ingredient for the amber fluid. It's an early start and then we're off to the fields. The weather is quite chilly but refreshing. Mechanical issues means going fairly slowly but really interesting to see the whole process - lots of big machines and trucks and endless...
