The Hunter Valley provided us with another chance to indulge in epicurean delights! In all we visited seven wineries or ‘cellar doors’ and sampled over 40 different wines. We took the ‘Hunter Gatherers' tour, where we tasted cheese, chocolate and beer, as well as wines. Marianne particularly liked the pink fizz! We also went to a BYO ‘locals night’, dining with wine-makers and producers, who were literally drinking their ‘own’. But the highlight had to be the balloon flight over the valley at sunrise.

Oct 14, 2017 - More wine!

Today was a long day. Well just a long drive into Sydney. Obviously we stopped a couple times for breaks and lunch, but didn't really see much other than a wine tasting stop in the morning. The wine guide, showed us some vines that were starting to bud and how they determine which to use for which wine. After a big tasting gathering, the group divided into 2 teams of 6. Apr 24, 2010 - Our Wedding Weekend

The beginning of the first blog ... we are not sure where to begin after the most wonderful weekend of our lives. It truely was a magical, loving, beautiful weekend and we will be forever grateful to our family and friends for making it so special. We started the trip from Brisbane on Thursday.
