Up the Centre 12.6.16 Nyngan Well you will be happy to know there was no rain last night, so no mass evacuations. The river has gone down ever so slightly. We have had a quiet day, filled up with petrol and bought some tinned food. Can't buy fruit and veges as will be passing through quarantine stations over the next couple of days. Then after lunch was able to have a couple of hours ' quiet time' which was great. Today we have had blue skies and sunshine. The small breeze however, has ice on its breath. Jun 11, 2016 - Walgett to Nyngan

Up the Centre 11.6.16 Walgett to Nyngan 376km What a difference this side of Walgett. There has been good rain, puddles beside the road, even a couple of puddles across the road, not deep. Crops have been planted and look lovely and green. Lots of baby lambs among the sheep, looking happy with green grass to eat. Quite a few wild Emu's along the road, great to see them running free. As we drove through Coonamble they were having their Rodeo weekend, no we didn't stop. We are staying at the Riverside Caravan Park here at Nyngan. Stayed...

Jul 31, 2013 - Cowra to Nyngan

On the road at 9am today, 4degrees but sunny. We travelled along the Lachlan Valley Way. Again lush countryside, sheep and cattle. Not long before we came across Aberdeen Angus cattle being moved along the road. These beasts in their thick fluffy black coats look very healthy as they meandered along both sides and often in the middle of the road. Travelled through Goologong and Forbes where we turned off to Bogan Gate. Mostly grain being grown in this area, but still some sheep. Travelled through Trundle and arrived at Tullamore just in...
