Another relatively quiet day spent mainly around camp doing mundane jobs such as washing and cleaning as well as some reading, The weather changed quite markedly in the afternoon with a strong southerly change blowing in whilst Ian was out fishing on the rocks. I battened down the hatches as best I could (everything was pretty well tied down, just added a few other reinforcements) and along with about 6 others helped couple across the way put up their awning as they were facing right into the wind and the awning was very close to blowing...

Feb 10, 2017 - Dalmeny

After breakfast, we took the dogs for a walk toward the lake area and back then spent most of the rest of the day around camp. Ian went out to see if he could find any suitable fishing spots, but there was a pretty big swell running today and any rock fishing was probably too dangerous. In the afternoon, we took the dogs for another walk, this time on part of the path that runs all the way along the beachfront from Dalmeny to Narooma. Feb 9, 2017 - Merimbula to Dalmeny

We took the scenic route along the coast from Merimbula to Dalmeny today, meaning we drove along a lot of winding road and went up and down quite a lot of steep hills. However, it was spectacular country with a mix of forests, glimpses of the sea, crossing of rivers and driving around more lakes. We passed through the seaside towns of Tathra, Bermagui (we could see some of the fleet of deep sea fishing boats as we drove through- apparently Bermagui is close to the continental shelf and they go fishing for black marlin and tuna), and...
