The early portion of today was spent finalizing arrangements for our onward travel. With most details settled, we headed to the Sydney Botanical Gardens just before dusk. The gardens are directly adjacent to the Sydney Opera House amd Harbor Bridge so we took sunset photos for about an hour prior to our walk through the gardens. The most fascinating thing about the gardens (which are set up in a fashion similar to Central Park) was the bats. Mar 16, 2007 - Heading for the best city down under - or so they say!

Yesterday we left the surf camp at 8am to make the full days drive down to Sydney. Arriving in Sydney around 5pm, with a quick walk and check in to my hostel. Sarah and I ( one of the girls from the bus) made some very yummy backpacker classic, spagetti bolognese for dinner before meeting up with the rest of the group from our bus at a bar for a couple of drinks. Today I headed off to join a tour of the Blue Mountains (just outside of Sydney) leaving at 7 am, again continuing the aussie's need to get up at the crack of dawn. Headed off...
