Sep 20, 2016 - Weather Fine in Temora

Tuesday 20th Weather fine in Temora Today we moved Ron G's van up a bit further out of the mud and the ground was so soft we almost had the van bogged. Off we ventured into Junee about 50km south of Temora. We had a picnic lunch and visited the Junee Licorice and chocolate factory which was quite interesting as we watched the licorice pieces being tumbled in huge round vats as it was coated in chocolate, or yoghurt. We tasted some freshly made licorice which was soft and almost still warm and what a difference to the store bought licorice....

Sep 20, 2016 - Temora - Junee for half day

Tuesday 20th Sept - at Temora - trip to Junee We are going to drive to Junee today (110km round trip) , but after deciding to stay the extra 3 nights, we are first going to shift Ron 'n Jan’s van onto the firmer drier ground. It took longer than expected because of the softness of the ground. The prediction is for another 24hr of rain tomorrow, so after shifting the van we put up the annex end on our van to protect the entry area from rain. Feb 19, 2009 - Junee

Through Tamora but just looked at the air museum. Must pick a flying weekend to see planes up in the air. Stayed 2 nights at Junee. Lovely town. Now gets water 22km away from a bore. Water is pure. However the whole area is very dry. Beautiful caravan park. Green grass (recycled water) & well looked after. Has a round house.A train turntable. Still half in use & half tourist. Great.
